Akron in the morning

Headed up to “The Company’s” HQ in Ohio. A few thoughts:

I wonder if the town we’ll eventually visit is as white as Kohler, WI was.

I wonder if it’s safe to wear my San Antonio Spurs Tim Duncan jersey to the local sports bar. Cleveland, OH hates LeBron after his move to Miami (the Spurs opponent in this year’s Finals). LeBron is from Akron, OH. The Spurs defeated Cleveland in the 2007 Finals.

I had to shave the beard since we are going to be having dinner with people in upper management tomorrow night. I’d like to be where they are someday. Somewhere not wearing steel toe shoes.

I wonder how many other minority engineering interns there will be. We are quite a minority in that major.

Just realized that those suspension cables on the bridges in The Dark Knight Rises should have fallen the second the mid-span of those bridges were blown up, because they’ve ceased to be suspension cables and are now just cables. Am I right, Tumblr engineers?
